The best place in My Heart

Mecca is the place where every muslim wish to go at least once in their life. It is where the kaabah lies, the direction where muslims faced when they pray..

 

Last year, I had the opportunity to perform the umrah in Mecca. I went there together with the whole family comprises my parents, and my two siblings. We went there for three weeks including visits to Syria and Jordan...

Firstly, we flew into Medina for a couple of days. Medina is the place where usually all the pilgrims will take a chance to go for a visit the makam of our one and only leader the Prophet Muhammad (s).. In Medina, there was a grand and a big mosque called Masjid Nabawi.. Then, came the bus trip to Mecca which took us 8 hours. I was very excited during the journey because I finally get to visit the place of my dream.. I can't hardly sleep eventhough it was a long and tiring journey...

Alhamdulillah, we finally arrived in Mecca at midnight.. After settling in the hotel, we went to the grand mosque called Masjidil Haram.. The sight was magnificent, it took my breath away.. I cried at the sight of the Kaa'ba within the grand mosque...

The next few days was spent performing umrah and prayers at the mosque.. There were thousand and thousands of pilgrims from all over the world. It was a spiritually uplifting feeling for me.. MasyaAllah..

 

Mecca sits in a valley surrounded by rocky hills. It has a lot of history that is very important to muslims. It was the birthplace of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (s)..

Mecca has a lot of hotels that caters for the thousands of muslims that came here throughout the year. It also has a lot of bazaars that sells almost everything.. One of my favourite is abaya's bazaar.. From clothes to souvenirs. There were lots of food stuff on sale well.

The weather in Mecca was hot and dry during the day but cold at night.. I felt very peaceful there despite huge crowd and the hot weather. It was a very special spiritual feeling for me to be in Mecca..

 

I felt  very sad when the day came to leave Mecca. It carries a special thought to me and also to other muslims. Mecca will always have a special place in my heart. Hopefully I will be able to go there again sometimes in the future. It definitely the best place in the world....
